We came here a few Mondays ago. It was after 10 pm and other places in the area were closed. The place wasn't too packed, so you'd think that we'd get our food fairly quickly. That didn't happen. The wait: We waited almost forty minutes for our food. At an IHOP. That wasn't packed. Say what? Our server: Bless her heart, she tried her darndest to get us our food. She was not to blame AT ALL. While putting in our order she told the cook several times "Chicken and Waffles." But apparently, the cook had some listening comprehension problems. Our server went back AT LEAST ten times. Repeating, "No, Chicken and Waffles!" It got to the point where she switched from English to Hindi. Then, another server started heading back to the kitchen asking about her order. That server went immediately into Spanish, asking, "Donde esta el Breakfast Sampler?" I think that server may have asked for it twice. But it didn't matter 'cause... Other customers left. The Breakfast Sampler people felt like a half hour was too long to wait, so they took off. Who could blame them? We would've left too if we weren't so hungry and other places were open. The food: So, after about forty minutes, our server brought us our food. The cook got the Chicken and Waffles right, but got my order of eggs wrong. Of course. Our server offered to get me the eggs I ordered, but I was too tired to wait. But seriously, that server was awesome and she did everything she could except jump on the grill. The manager: When we went to pay for our bill, the manager was at the register, which was in earshot of all the ruckus, and he didn't mention anything about the crappy service. So, I told him what happened and he said that they were trying out a new cook. No sh!t. And he offered to discount our meal. But when we looked at the receipt, I think he only took off our drinks (the receipt wasn't itemized), which cost them nothing. But yes, better than paying full price. I don't know how this place is other days of the week, but if you're hungry after ten on a Monday night and you're staying at one of the hotels in the area, order room service.

I can say not to come here either. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before my husband and I went here this morning. Poor service! The waiter didn't write down what we wanted, therefore, we both did not get what we wanted to a tee. The omelets were underdone! The biscuits were hard and then the manager and assistant manager never offered to make my omelet over again. And then finally, we had to pay for what we didn't order. We will not be here anymore.

Seriously poor service, we shall say as a group of six people we expected a bit of lag. 45 minutes for coffee to even be dropped off at the table? Really?! No seriously even if I hated someone who showed up at my house I wouldn't take more than 20 minutes without an industrial coffee maker. On to their service, not mine! I had a spinach omlette and I told the server no cheese please. Not only was the whole damn thing glued to the plate with the most cheese I've ever seen on any one item. It took 25 minutes for her attention to be jogged. We were her second table... The manager got an ear full of all of our complaints and never said anything to her. Perhaps that was out of respect. ONE STAR Needless to say we went back at 3am on Black Friday with a few folks, five, I believe. Got a new server and had a better time but still had to send my omelette back and redo my hashbrowns because they were gummy.

Late nights getting off work and we stopped in here to have a late late dinner/early breakfast. Nothing special about this Ihop. Always a good place to eat late or when your DD is hungry and you stop here. I had some biscuits and gravy, nothing hard to make, and pretty hard to mess up.

I keep saying I'll never visit again, but my kids love the pancakes. $31.44 for one adult and two kids. Very expensive. Should be $20.

I am not a big breakfast fan. But one in a great while, through some strange shift in the time space continuum, somehow I manage to find myself at an Ihop. Ate here a few weeks back in the morning. It was busy. Didn't have to wait long. Service was fine and friendly. But I always kick myself for being lured by the nice photos on the menu. And I completely forget that they use CANNED berries! Ughhh. It was one of those, damn, should have gotten an omelette moments. And I have done this before at Ihop. My eyes go to the color photos and it is like I am hypnotized. lol Now I know fresh berries are seasonal, but once you've eaten at places that use fresh berries, it's always disappointing to go into the can opener zone. So don't be lured by the fancy color photos! CANNED BERRIES. WATCH OUT! lol The person I was with had an omelette of course. Oh well, maybe next time I will remember. At least the toast was good. :-)

The Ants Go Marching Two By Two...My husband and I had breakfast last weekend, on Saturday morning at IHOP on Memorial & May in NOKCThe Ants Go Marching Two By Two.... We were led to a booth next to the window. I immediately noticed the entire window sill, the wall surrounding the window AND the table under the window was crawling WITH ANTS feasting on the sticky pancake syrup caddy. I pointed this little fact out to our waitress. I expected her to be mortified, apologetic or at the very least embarrassed but all she could muster was mild irritation and seemed to be put out when she asked the busboy to "wipe down the wall" which effectively smeared partially dead ant carcasses all over the tabletop. She casually mentioned they needed to set out traps but hadn't gotten around to it. (I'm thinking it MIGHT be a bigger priority?) It was Saturday morning, the place was packed and we were pressed for time. I ignored every fiber of my being telling me to R-U-N, not walk out the door. I spent the meal keeping a close watch on the ants that had already reformed their trails to and from the syrup and I freaked out each time a speck of pepper was spotted anywhere near my plate for fear it was a wayward ant. While paying our check, I tried to gently tell the manager that she had quite the infestation. To my dismay, she didn't apologize. She simply said it was a busy morning and she had tables to seat. I suggested maybe not putting people at the tables by the window, where the ants were clearly coming in. She looked at me Ike I was insane, then suggested I leave the running of the restaurant to the professionals. The food was ok, our waitress was friendly enough, despite her unconcerned attitude over the tiny intruders, we were in and out in good time, thanks in part to our willingness to eat and run before being carried off to a distant anthill. I realize this particular restaurant is open 24/7 but at the risk of losing money to close your doors while you spray, bomb, nuke the little buggers to their deaths, it can't be anymore lost revenue than from customers with a bad experience spreading the word to others and risking numerous patrons being grossed out to the point of never returning OR who will, from this day forward, ALWAYS check for ants, if in fact we ever return to the scene of the very big crime. Thanks for nothing IHOP. Yuck!
